Mr. Elmore is a graduate of California State University, Sacramento with a bachelor's degree in Music Education. Prior to working at Oakmont High School, Mr. Elmore was the band director at Florence Markofer Elementary School in Elk Grove, CA before moving his class to a virtual medium during COVID. At that time, he began teaching online brass classes through the Mandarins Music Academy. Aside from teaching in public schools Mr. Elmore has also worked with the Troopers Drum and Bugle Corps based in Casper, Wyoming. There he auditioned and taught talented musicians from around the world how to perform and compete at a world-class level - the highest level marching band has to offer.

In his spare time, Mr. Elmore enjoys snowboarding and going to watch his favorite sports team, the San Francisco Giants, with his partner. Together they enjoy keeping up to date with all things Marvel and taking care of their kitty, Peggy.

Mr. Elmore has been director since the 2021-2022 school year and is proud to be a Viking!
