Statement of Need
Oakmont High School’s Royal Blue Regiment Marching Band and Color Guard asks each band-student family to pledge a Fair Share amount of $400 to help cover essential program expenses that extend beyond our annual budget. These costs include transportation, festival and competition fees, instrument purchases and maintenance, music copyright fees, props, meals, uniforms, sound equipment, travel insurance, and other necessary program needs.
By comparison, many nearby high schools ask band families to contribute between $600 and $800 per student. We have worked hard to keep our request as affordable as possible, but reaching our fundraising goal is critical to providing students with a successful and rewarding season. With potential 90+ students in the Marching Band program this year, our total goal is raise $63,000, and we are sincerely grateful for every contribution that helps make our band program a success.

The salary for one full-time Band Director is paid by the School District
The program is also partially funded through California Proposition 28 - Arts and Music in Schools Funding initiative
In addition, the program requires about $64,000 from pledges and donations. These funds come from band student families, local fundraising, and the Oakmont Field Festival proceeds.
Pledge Information
In 2026, we’re excited to welcome more than 90 students to the Marching Band and Color Guard. Their participation in Northern California competitions is made possible through the generosity of our families and supporters. Donations help cover essential program expenses such as music licensing, competition fees, staff stipends, instrument and uniform maintenance, transportation, meals and snacks at competitions, scholarships, senior celebrations, and more.
Please consider a financial contribution by making a pledge using the link below or you may hand deliver a check made out to ‘Oakmont Parents Club’ and drop it in the donations box in the Band room. You must also fill out our pledge form via the second link below. A donation of $400 per student is strongly suggested for each band student family, and we warmly encourage families to consider higher giving levels if they are able.
Your donation amount will always be kept confidential and will never affect your student’s grade or participation. Every Royal Blue Regiment family is encouraged to support the band, to the extent possible, through both financial contributions and volunteer involvement (visit our volunteer page).
